Next generation image quality The use of the latest xerographic technology allows 600 x 600 dpi printing at 9 x A1 per minute with the highest quality allowing fine patterns and lines to be reproduced, allowing technical drawing to be interpreted with the minimum of error.

Modularity
The 6279 gives the greatest flexibility of modularity, the base configuration of machine is a 2 roll 7 x A1, and from this a scanner can be added to allow copying functionality. The media supply can be upgraded to either an additional drawer unit giving a total of 4 rolls of media on line, or a two tray module which would give 2 rolls and two cut sheet trays of media on line. Speed of the printer can be upgraded from 7 x A1 per minute to 9 x A1 per minute, and if the standard copying speed of 4ips is not sufficient, this to can be upgraded to 6ips. There is also an option to allow colour scan to file, the speed of colour scanning is 1ips or 2ips if the scanning speed upgrade has been applied.

Single Footprint
The design of the 6279 allows for the scanner to be mounted on the top of the machine, this reduces the amount of space the machine requires. The media exit is from the rear, allowing folders to be connected without having the need for a bridge to allow replenishment of supplies. As the 6279 also has the ability to have four rolls, finishers do not need to have a A2 rotation bridge. This makes configurations with the folder cheaper and uses less space.

Accxes
The 6279 will use the Freeflow Accxes controller; this proven technology gives reliable quick imaging of all file formats including DWF. With the success of the Freeflow Accxes controller the Xerox 6279 can be easily added to an existing customer?s workflow.
